Originally built around 1850, this historic home faced significant damage when an extensive hailstorm flooded the property and ruined the roof.

Our restoration journey began with repairing the roof, ensuring that it was both functional and true to the original structure.

Once the roof was secured, we turned our attention to the interior, where improper renovations had previously compromised the historic integrity of the home. We carefully removed large amounts of white render from the walls and meticulously repaired them in line with historic standards, ensuring every detail reflected the original craftsmanship.

A standout feature of this home is its historic wallpaper, a detail crucial to preserving its authenticity. We collaborated with skilled artists from Melbourne to recreate the wallpaper, which was then installed on-site to match its original design perfectly.

The storm also caused substantial damage to the cornices and ceilings. To address this, we sourced the original cornice profiles and recreated them on-site.

This restoration project spanned approximately 12 months, with our team dedicated to preserving the finer details and ensuring every aspect of the home was restored to its former glory.
