Bourke Builders is proud to have partnered with St Patrick’s Primary School and B3architects on the third stage of a transformative campus upgrade, bringing modern functionality and calm, purpose-driven design to the heart of the school.
This project saw the revitalisation of underused spaces—an older classroom and the school’s original entry zone—into two sophisticated, flexible learning environments. At the centre of these new spaces is a vision for adaptable, student-centred learning: a plush, carpeted mezzanine invites quiet reflection and self-directed learning, while tiered mini-amphitheatres support focused presentations and peer discussion.
Unique to the spaces is a “no-shoe” policy that encourages students to relax, stretch out, and engage comfortably—whether that’s sprawled across large upholstered seating or collaborating in smaller breakout nooks. With multiple learning zones thoughtfully integrated into each area, teachers and students alike can tailor the space to suit the lesson, mood, or moment.
The result is a calm, inspiring learning environment designed to meet the needs of modern education while retaining the warm, grounded identity of the school community.
